In 1982 we met Donna at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. She was conducting wildlife tours of the Refuge and had an intense interest in peregrines. A Chincoteague native, she ultimately became a prominent business owner, community advocate and spokesperson on the island. All the skills she brought to bear in her professional endeavors have been generously shared in the many ways she has assisted Earthspan’s peregrine survey at Assateague Island. No attributes are more dear to us, however, than her personal field skills and infectious good humor. She is a friend and advocate who has brought us many more of the same through her eagerness to share what she found. Thanks, Donna!
