Carl has over four decades of experience with natural resource consulting on interdisciplinary projects. His technical specialties include wildlife ecology, natural resources management, endangered species conservation, and ornithology, especially raptors. Carl is highly published and is a recognized expert in the field of biological impacts associated with wind energy development. As Principal Investigator for the California Department of Fish and Game of statewide peregrine, golden and bald eagle surveys in the 1970s, he provided technical expertise to the Pacific Coast Peregrine Falcon Recovery Team. From his Ojai, CA consulting firm BioResource Consultants, Carl has generously devoted his personal time, expertise and resources to Earthspan’s peregrine surveys.
